We have been invaded with jiggers (Tunga penetrans chigoe flea). Most of the children are infested with these parasites in their feet and hands. These have affected the children within the Orphanage and those other 375 Orphans within the School.
The proper treatment, including prevention in future cost $10.
But we also needed to buy shoes for the Children, because with shoes jiggers can't attack, a pair of $5 can serve a child for a whole year.
